Carlo and Georgina met while they were both working in Mallorca in 2003. A summer full of sun and Sangria never predicted that 2 years later Carlo would be moving down to England to buy a house and start a new life.
Spending their anniversaries in Mallorca, this has grown to be their special home from home, and is filled with memories of young love and their growing relationship.
After 6 years together, Carlo proposed to Georgina in Mallorca - surprising her with a stay in a posh hotel, spa and champagne dinner. Carlo got down on one knee and gave her a bespoke designed diamond ring.
The wedding day will be their 8 year anniversary.
The ceremony and reception will both be held at Port Verd Del Mar in Son Severa, Mallorca.
Ceremony time will be approximately 3pm to avoid the midday sun (to be confirmed nearer the time). This means dinner will be served around 6pm so please make sure you eat lunch before you arrive.
Unfortunately, the venue isn’t very child friendly – the patio area leads straight into the (rocky) sea and there are a couple of high drops. Children are entirely welcome, we just wanted you to be forewarned.
This venue is not a hotel, but there are plenty of hotels, villas and apartments nearby, inlcuding a few recommended here and here. Here is a map of the area so you can see the surrounding places to stay. The local towns are Son Severa, Cala Bona and Cala Millor.
The only airport in Mallorca is Palma Airport (PMI), located in the south of the island. We always use SkyScanner to book flights as it compares all the airlines and shows the cheapest flights.
Alternatively you can look at the airlines individually:
Bmi Baby Ryan Air Monarch EasyJet Thomson Fly Fly Thomas Cook
Flights to and from Mallorca run about 4 times a day, from about 6am to 11pm. In the past we have found BMI Baby and Ryanair the cheapest airlines. The earlier you book your flight the cheaper it will be - once seats begin to sell they put the price up.
Unfortunately we only have experience of buying flights on their own, so if you are getting a flight and hotel package, there may be better deals to choose from.
Unless you have booked an airport transfer with your hotel, you could hire a car from the airport. Again we book this in advance:

The weather in Mallorca in June is about 25C. Please think about sun safety – helpful websites are here and here.
We always check the BBC website for weather forecast a week before we travel.
As the weather will be hotter than most weddings, we're happy with a less formal dress code. We don't expect the men to wear full suits and ties, but a shirt would be nice. Ladies, this is your chance to wear those beautiful summer dresses that you can't wear in the UK! Or even a hat or parasol!
Why not turn your visit to Mallorca into your summer holiday and stay for a week or two! Here's some things we recommend doing while you're in Mallorca...

Why not learn a little Spanish to impress the locals? Here are some quick and easy lessons
Please don't bring presents or cards to the wedding for security reasons (and we may struggle to get them back to the UK in our luggage!) Alternatively, we kindly ask you to send them to our house at the below address. Thank you.
